What To Expect

Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

Your expert guide will meet you at the Pavilion next to the Upper Falls Parking Area at 8AM. This is also the staring point for Uncle Tom's Trail. The hike is a 6-mile loop. The hike is along the Canyon Rim, through the forest out to Ribbon Lake, and then past a geyser basin, Clear Lake, and the Wapiti Meadows with big views of the Hayden Valley. If you hike one trail in Yellowstone this is it!

Yellowstone Hiking Guides was one of the highlights of our 10 day YNP and GTNP trip. Emily Jo and Josh were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and very professional. Their van was spotless, the lunch was wonderful, they were prompt and professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the entire Yellowstone area. We enjoyed our time with them and even got to see a wolf! I would highly recommend reaching out to them if you are visiting YNP, you will not be disappointed!

We LOVED our guided hike around Yellowstone by Josh and Emily! They were so knowledgeable about everything....the climate, animals, plants and Yellowstone old and new history. We saw so many wonderful sights and animals on our tour. It was a great mix of hiking and car touring as well thankfully our hosts designed and tailored the whole thing for our group so young , older and maybe not so in shape can do this hike with these two wonderful guides. However, if you are an avid hiker these two can provide an excellent hike for you as well. We also were provided with a wonderful antipasto lunch with a beautiful view and delish morning muffins and coffee before the start, it's touches like this that put them above the rest! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
