What a nice change from driving into the canyon and taking buses. We were staying in Las Vegas and decided to take the train into the Canyon. We opted for the basic air condition car which turned out great. The seats had lots of rooms, bathroom was large and clean, and easy walk to the food car. Amber Rose was our attendant during our ride to the canyon and back. Amber really is the one that made the trip so great. She was full of interesting facts along our route as well as canyon information. IF I ever have the opportunity to do this again I hope I can request Amber Rose again.

Staying in Sedona we decided to drive to Williams to take the Grand Canyon Railway to see the Grand Canyon. An easy drive to the take off point and a delightful, traffic free trip to the southern rim, where private moderately sized buses awaiting to take us to three scenic views. The train was extremely relaxing and enjoyable. Each car has it's own guide for the entire trip. Ours kept us amused with jokes and tibits about the area, train and canyon. I had trouble booking on line and called their phone number and received very useful help and advice with booking. We booked too late to go to the buffet, but we were fine having lunch on our own. In the end I think we prefered it. Be warned though, with desperate outlaws in the area, you might be robbed on the train. (HaHa)

A 2 hour and 15 minute train ride to the Grand Canyon in an air conditioned train car. Cameron was very knowledgeable and fun. He made a point to engage all of the kiddos on our car. The trip back had added fun with a ‘robbery’ from the Cateract gang.
