Canyon Dave's Grand Canyon tour was personable and intimate. Richard took special care to ensure our experience was memorable. One could tell Richard has a passion for what he does as he shared Canyon history and geology. Accommodations were perfect and the tour was timed perfectly for our needs. Recommended with enthusiasm!

My first trip to the Grand Canyon was all I hoped for and more. Richard Thayer, our tour guide, is a phenomenal historian and expert geologist. I never considered myself a rock lover but was fascinated by what I learned! He showed us trees and plants that the native tribes used for food, shelter, weaving, etc. We made a brief stop at a small Navajo outpost for great souvenir shopping (among other things, lovely jewelry that was very reasonably priced). Our group ranged in age from 10 to 75. Everyone was able to keep up physically and there were frequent opportunities for bathroom and water breaks. The day was very well organized and our leader, very inspiring...

The van tour offered by Canyon Dave was excellent. Not only did we get the great views of the Grand Canyon, but we also received a geology lesson on how the canyon formed. It was very interesting. The accomodations were also very good. The van was clean and had a great air conditioner!
