What To Expect

Your tour starts from your Flagstaff hotel with morning pickup by a knowledgeable, informative local guide. Upon meeting your group, you will be regaled with stories of the geology and natural history explanations of how the Grand Canyon came to be.

What a relaxing, enjoyable and very informative day my wife, daughter and myself spent recently with Dora "The Explorer" who runs Canyon Dave Tours. First off, it was nice to have someone else drive for a change while we were touring Arizona and Nevada. Dora's pleasant personality, her knowledge and passion for the area's she took us to was immedietely evident from the start. Even though Dora showed us many fascinating area's in the course of the day, it was very relaxing and not rush, rush, rush. The views were breath taking everywhere and so many different spots we experienced throughout the course of the day. This is a must tour for everyone, first timers to the area or even for those who think they have "seen it all" there. The only sad part of the day was saying good bye to Dora !! We never write reviews, but we had such a great experience with Canyon Dave and Dora! The tour was educational and fun - for all ages. It was a fantastic way to see the Grand Canyon! We highly recommend booking a tour, all day or half day, with Canyon Dave!

Our tour made our family's trip to the Grand Canyon incredibly memorable. Our tour guide Jake ensured the evening was really educational and fun. The simple, interactive explanations about the formation and geology of the Grand Canyon gave us a whole other level of appreciation for it. We were surprised to learn that Jake was a relatively new guide. He was really informative and at ease with us. He genuinely enjoys what he does. The van was comfortable in transit to the outlook points and Jake was prepared with extra binoculars, jackets, snacks, and more. We did the sunset tour from 3-7 PM. Great experience overall, would totally recommend it to friends and family.
