Dora was the BEST tour guide I have EVER had anywhere. Not only did she know her subject, but imparted much knowledge in a way that was easily understood and enjoyable. We enjoyed the geology lesson, even at our age we learned something new! The food at the Trading Post was truly delicious. Would recommend ( and already have) this tour to anyone who wishes to get the most out of the Grand Canyon.

We had a great day with Dora of Canyon Dave Tours. We were picked up at our hotel in Williams. Dora was there early. Even our ride to the Canyon was enjoyable and informative. Winter is a fine time to tour the Grand Canyon...temp was in the 40's for us. My parents (70's) traveled with me. This was first time to do something like this together. This was a good experience for all. Dora was very knowledgeable. We had fun and learned much at the Canyon and throughout the day. They took good care of us, we learned lots and really enjoyed the whole day. We spent the next day on our own at the Canyon too and appreciated all we'd learned even more!

We have been on many excursions over the years and this tour by far was the best full day (8 hr) tour we have experienced. Our Canyon Dave Tour Guide, Richard, ensured that we had an opportunity to experience the Grand Canyon in a way that we could never of done on our own. Our guide, being a life time resident of the area, had a vast knowledge including the plants and animals along with the history. Richard was able to share with us his love for the canyon, the region and its people. The tour is a nice combo of views of the canyon with side trips into the surround forest and communities which gives you an opportunity to have some downtime to digest all the wonders of the park before you experience the next moment. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience the canyon and appreciate what it is. Drinks, snacks and lunch are included. If you plan on going in November ensure that you have proper clothing including layers, hats and gloves as the mornings and late afternoons are very crisp. This is not a tour I would recommend for young children.
