On the recommendation of John at the desk of the Days Inn in Williams, we booked a tour with Canyon Dave Tours. We had originally planned to just go up to the Grand Canyon on our own; it never occurred to us to take a tour. Well, we talked about it, and decided despite the cost ($149 pp), we would give my husband a break from driving and take their tour. What a great decision it was! Brittain was our tour guide, and he was awesome! He is a geologist and has been directing this tour since April. He does a fantastic job--can't say enough positive things about him. He knew what he was talking about and we learned so much more about the Canyon and the whole area than we ever could've learned otherwise. The tour included multiple stops (6?) at the Canyon, a drive through the national forest, shopping and lunch on the Navajo reservation, as well as a stop in the Painted Desert. Brittain pointed out so much along the drive, giving explanations about what we were seeing the whole way between stops. He provided snacks and beverages if we wanted, had binoculars for us to use (yayy!), and even said he had extra jackets if we needed them. He had a step stool for getting into and out of the van. He never was pushy and allowed us all the time we wanted at the stops. And he took our pictures with our cameras for us! We had an awesome day at the Grand Canyon, and I know it's because of Brittain and Canyon Dave Tours!
