On the recommendation of John at the desk of the Days Inn in Williams, we booked a tour with Canyon Dave Tours. We had originally planned to just go up to the Grand Canyon on our own; it never occurred to us to take a tour. Well, we talked about it, and decided despite the cost ($149 pp), we would give my husband a break from driving and take their tour. What a great decision it was! Brittain was our tour guide, and he was awesome! He is a geologist and has been directing this tour since April. He does a fantastic job--can't say enough positive things about him. He knew what he was talking about and we learned so much more about the Canyon and the whole area than we ever could've learned otherwise. The tour included multiple stops (6?) at the Canyon, a drive through the national forest, shopping and lunch on the Navajo reservation, as well as a stop in the Painted Desert. Brittain pointed out so much along the drive, giving explanations about what we were seeing the whole way between stops. He provided snacks and beverages if we wanted, had binoculars for us to use (yayy!), and even said he had extra jackets if we needed them. He had a step stool for getting into and out of the van. He never was pushy and allowed us all the time we wanted at the stops. And he took our pictures with our cameras for us! We had an awesome day at the Grand Canyon, and I know it's because of Brittain and Canyon Dave Tours!

This was my first trip and experience in viewing the Grand Canyon. My friend and I decided to take the full day trip with Canyon Dave's Tours and were delighted with that experience. Richard, our guide, was very personable and extremely knowledgeable and shared an abundance of history of the canyon. He went above and beyond to make sure our group got to take in the awesome beauty of this natural wonder and went out of his way so we could enjoy some wildlife at the end of the tour. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the Grand Canyon.

I can't say enough about this tour. Richard was very knowledgeable about the canyon and anticipated our needs. He had water and snacks ready while we drove from different locations around the canyon. I enjoyed his explanation of how the canyon was formed most of all. In that moment I was convinced that a million years was a relatively short time in the formation of all the layers of rock and sediments. I have shared our experience with all my friends on Facebook and I hope they will use Canyon Dave's Tours if they ever visit the Grand Canyon. Our lives have been changed by this and we are making plans to see other natural wonders of our great country. Thank you Canyon Dave Tours and most of all thank you Richard Thayer (Don't change a thing.....)
