What To Expect

Talkeetna Air Taxi

You will start your excursion by checking into our log cabin office at the Talkeetna State Airport 45 minutes prior to your flight departure. Be sure to bring your sunglasses, light jacket (in the summer) and plenty of memory on your camera. Board our ski-equipped aircraft and enjoy your pilots' commentary about the geological history and local wildlife on your individual headset. Continue your flight above Talkeetna and over the river systems of the Susitna valley as you enter into an incredible landscape of icefalls, glaciers and snow peaks. You'll be awed by the Great Gorge of the Ruth Glacier, filled with a 4,000 foot thick river of ice, making this one of the deepest gorges in the world. Travel further into the range to explore the seven major glaciers that blanket the southside of the Alaska Range. Add a glacier landing onto your trip for a highlight of your Alaska vacation. This will add 30 minutes onto your trip time for this chance to bask in awe inspiring scenery.

Most unbelievable experience of our AK trip! Inclement weather made peak views and a glacier landing questionable and we were given the option to cancel with a full refund or roll the dice. So glad we rolled the dice! Our pilot was awesome and the views were unreal!

Coolest thing I have ever done in my entire life! Worth every penny. The entire experience and every staff member I spoke to were outstanding! Do this! You will not be sorry. I have never been on a small plane. It was very comfortable with minimal turbulence.

Wow!!! This was an AMAZING adventure for our whole family! It was our daughter’s 16th birthday trip and what a fantastic way to see Denali. Everything about the flight was even better than we had hoped. Our pilot, Leanne, was so kind and friendly and told us so many cool things about Alaska and the beautiful scenery and mountain exploration. She made the whole tour fun and exciting! The glacier landing was epic! We all loved every minute of our time. Then on the flight back our daughter got to sit up front as “co-pilot”! We couldn’t have asked for a better adventure for our family. Would recommend this tour to anyone. Better than 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+
