BrushBuck Wildlife Tours
After early morning pickup from your Jackson Hole hotel, your naturalist guide takes you into Grand Teton National Park. Even in the quiet of a snowy winter, wildlife can be spotted in the park and your guide knows where to look for animals. On any given day, you could see moose, bison, bighorn sheep, elk, mule deer, bald eagles, golden eagles, pronghorn, coyotes, or even wolves as you explore the park. At midday, come in from the cold to enjoy lunch in the famous western cowboy town of Jackson, Wyoming. After lunch, head back outside for a horse-drawn sleigh ride at the National Elk Refuge. Snap social media–worthy pics of the large herds as your guide explains how the elk migrate from the surrounding area to the refuge, a 24,700-acre (9,996-hectare) winter sanctuary to 47 different mammals and nearly 175 species of birds such as trumpeter swans and bald eagles. At the end of a memorable 8-hour tour of this winter wonderland, your guide returns you to your hotel where your tour ends.

A great day trip seeing abundant wildlife with a sleigh ride. Our guide was Tyler and we enjoyed the day with him. Tyler was friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. He has a great eye for finding animals that are well camouflaged to most eyes. We saw Mule deer, Bald eagle, Moose, Elk, Bison, and Big Horn sheep. A nice hot lunch was provided at a local restaurant in the park about midway through the day. Tyler was very good at setting up the spotting scope for all to view as well as taking photos through the scope and then sharing the photos with the group. Overall, a very enjoyable tour. Recommend to all who enjoy seeing wildlife. Thanks Tyler!

Obviously you want to ski when you come to Jackson, WY - but if you plan a 'down day' and give those feet a rest, make sure you book this tour! Caveat - we got extremely lucky. First; our guide - Mark. He was engaging and knowledgeable from the pickup (which he was early for and happy to wait, means the world when putting socks on 6yr old feet). Mark was a great story teller, and proved it throughout the day with lots of history and specifics of the local regions - plus plenty of jokes which my kids loved. He was open and engaging, and really a great guide for such a beautiful landscape. Second; the wildlife. I've only ever seen moose from 200yrds away at the edge of a clearing. In Grand Teton we saw literally dozens, and from perhaps 30 yrds. This seems to only happen at this time of year (Dec - thanks Mark) - so if you come in the summer forget it. We also saw wild Bison, a Coyote sniffing around them - eagles and other birds of all kinds plus the final cap on the day - a tour around Millers Butte which gave us a great encounter with a heard of Big Horn Sheep. My kids loved it, the guide (Mark) helped us get telephoto lens pics/vids which look like they're from a nature documentary and we had a really wonderful memory. 100% recommend.
