BrushBuck Wildlife Tours
After early morning pickup from your Jackson Hole hotel, your naturalist guide takes you into Grand Teton National Park. Even in the quiet of a snowy winter, wildlife can be spotted in the park and your guide knows where to look for animals. On any given day, you could see moose, bison, bighorn sheep, elk, mule deer, bald eagles, golden eagles, pronghorn, coyotes, or even wolves as you explore the park. At midday, come in from the cold to enjoy lunch in the famous western cowboy town of Jackson, Wyoming. After lunch, head back outside for a horse-drawn sleigh ride at the National Elk Refuge. Snap social media–worthy pics of the large herds as your guide explains how the elk migrate from the surrounding area to the refuge, a 24,700-acre (9,996-hectare) winter sanctuary to 47 different mammals and nearly 175 species of birds such as trumpeter swans and bald eagles. At the end of a memorable 8-hour tour of this winter wonderland, your guide returns you to your hotel where your tour ends.

After having an all day tour into Yellowstone National Park the day before, I was a little concerned that this tour might be a let down. But nothing could be further from the truth...this tour exceeded my expectations in every way! While the Yellowstone tour focused primarily on the geological features of the park, this tour was all about wildlife in and around Grand Teton National Park. And we literally saw them ALL—moose, elk, bighorn sheep, mule deer, bison, coyotes, river otter, golden eagles, and bald eagles. We even saw a porcupine! Our guide, “Capt. Steve,” was incredible. He was knowledgeable, conscientious, and very kind and patient with our children. When appropriate, he would setup a spotting scope so our kids could get a close look at the animals. We ended our tour with a horse drawn sleigh ride into the Elk Refuge, which was the highlight of the trip for our daughters. This tour is well worth your time, you will not be disappointed!

We first toured with Adam in July 2014 and spent a wonderful day looking for wildlife and Adam explained behaviors we were seeing, tracking methods, etc. So I didn’t hesitate to call the company when we returned to Jackson 4.5 years later. We spent an amazing day with Steve. We saw amazing wildlife, were treated as VIP guests and enjoyed our day with Steve. I am planning a 2020 trip to Alaska and I will call Brushbuck!

I reached out to Brushbuck Tours several months ago regarding a group trip for 37 adults visiting Jackson Hole for the first time. I worked with Cortney who was so helpful in coordinating all the details of the trip and handling our many last minute additions to the group. The day could not have been any better and everyone said it was the highlight of their visit to Jackson. We saw elk, moose, bison, eagles, wolf, fox, coyotes, sheep and more. We had four vans on our tour. Daniel was my driver/guide for the day and he was AMAZING. I will absolutely reach back out to Brushbuck Tours for planning another day of sightseeing for my next group.
