Grandy Tandem Hang Gliding 2000' - Outer Banks

Overview
Hang Gliding at altitude is the closest thing to soaring like a bird. In some senses it's the purest form of aviation. Going up to 2000' above the ground is one of the most unique ways to see the Outer Banks. At 2000' you'll be amazed at how fragile the barrier islands look. The quiet of air will be both exhilarating and peaceful at the same time.

Your first time flying in a Hang Glider should definitely be near where the Wright Brother's learned to fly.

This was a fun and amazing experience! Very safe. Our guide was knowledgeable. You actually get to steer the glider! Really neat to watch how the ultra light plane tow the glider in the air.

Nervous at first for a 74 yr. old lady but everyone one explained from start to finish the process. This had been on my bucket list and a friend signed me up, knowing I might not follow through. I can honestly tell you it was the best experience of my life and I would do it again. The video of my flight is a memory I'll have maybe when my memory is not all there....Thanks to Ryan who made an old woman proud of her accomplishments and is a tolerant instructor.
