Joy, our guide, loved what she does and it shows. She was very knowledgeable about Atlanta history and the food we tried. There's a lot of food so make sure you come hungry. The walk was nice and took us through many neighborhoods. The tour was organized and professional. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a new experience while visiting Atlanta.

What an excellent tour guide Joy was. It was a brilliantly paced tour with fantastic food. So much food too! The fried chicken and Brunswick stew were my favourite. Oh, and a hearty meat pie. Great memories. Also learnt fascinating details about Atlanta's history. Especially the weaving in of Martin Luther King's life in Atlanta. Strongly recommended.

The Saturday afternoon of our weekend getaway to Atlanta was spent on Atlanta Food Walks' Downtown tour. It was an excellent way to see the city, learn about its history, and taste some delicious food. During our trip, we also did tours at World of Coca-Cola, CNN, and the High Museum of Art. We joked that all of our other tour guides should take a master class from our AFW guide, Joy, whose enthusiasm for the city was palpable. She was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and personable, coaxing even the shyest people on the tour out of their shells to make for a delightful communal experience. The food we sampled ranged from excellent to satisfactory, but was still worth the price. As a lovely finishing touch, AFW electronically shares photos they've taken during the tour, including shots of the whole group and the individual groups who have participated.
