This is one of the best food tours that we have been on. Akila's enthusiasm for civil rights history, knowledge of southern cuisine and great choice of food stops made this a very pleasant way to learn about Atlanta. Highly recommended!

Our guide was Akila. She was so knowledgeable about the history of Atlanta and the food in the area. Everything was great - - the weather, the company, the educational tidbits, and of course the food. I have recommended this to friends and family and plan to schedule a tour for me and my son next year. I was more than satisfied and the value was wonderful!! See you again soon, hopefully, Akila!

Akila did an amazing job weaving the history of the area and the people of Atlanta into the tour. In particular MLK and MLK Jr, their efforts for integration, the fight against segregation & racism. As a Canadian I was horrified at how long this went on, truly horrifying and shameful part of history. Anyway, the food was centre stage and I truly enjoyed everything. Accommodation was made for me in providing an alternate to pork at the BBQ place (yes I know, I heard how good it was trust me). I would have said that I didn't like grits well, I can tell you I can't say that now, the shrimp and grits with chicken sausage was We inspiring, truly, I could have rolled around in that sauce. We sampled a great variety of southern food and learns a lot about the influences on the local food. If you are in the mood for a food tour, pick this one. Thanks for a great day Akila.
