My wife and I took the tour on my birthday recently and it was one of my favorite birthday moments. Akila was a fantastic tour guide: effortlessly navigating us through the downtown area (only 1 rule: nobody dies) and giving us the history of each restaurant or location we stopped at. The amount of food was perfect and the detail that went into the planning of the tour was very much appreciated. If we ever end up visiting Atlanta again (highly likely), we'll be taking another tour with Akila. Heck, even if it's the same one. Oh, and the hug from Ms. D? Priceless.

I was in Atlanta with my 2 adult daughters and we wanted to get some history and of course we always like great food. Akila did all the work and had scouted out the best of the best. We'd walk into a restaurant and they'd have our table and samples all ready--really more than samples. We went back to Pascals that night as just couldn't foresee anyone else having better chicken and atmosphere. Akila thought of everything including water bottles for each of us since it was hot and the personal fans for the longer walks! Definitely a great idea and a great tour guide!

A group of us took Akila's tour today around Atlanta. I found it truly terrific. Akila is a top-notch tour guide that has gone above & beyond what many guides offer. She shares a wealth of information about Atlanta's history, including important Civil Rights stories. Being a native of Atlanta, I learned so many new things. The walk is very doable...it was a hot day but all managed just fine as there are several stops built into the tour. The food was just terrific. We stopped at 7 locations and had a generous amount of food/drink. I am a vegetarian and accommodations were made for me to get great samples too. All in all, a great way to explore parts of Atlanta that I hadn't myself. Great food and a terrific storyteller make for a memorable few hours!
