What To Expect
1
Washington Square Park
Washington Square Park is legendary. You’ve seen it in a ton of films, it’s the unofficial campus of NYU students and you’ll see some of the coolest people in the city here. Feed pigeons. Hear musicians and watch street performers. You never know what to expect. Oh except for the mighty arch which is, of course, renowned.
2
The Stonewall Inn
The Stonewall Inn is such a huge historical site - literally and figuratively. We pass by the prideful institution as well as its new statue which was installed to commemorate it’s 50th anniversary.

I got a bit of a behind the scenes tour of the West Village with Dante, who is funny, personable and informative. I’m a native New Yorker but learned a lot — about the history of the city and places I had seen but never entered and some new restaurants that I would return to in a second. The food was delicious. Dante has limitless energy and I was impressed with his rapport with all the workers at all the stops. It’s a wise move but I could also tell it was sincere. He’s a people person through and through. I will definitely book another tour — the East Village one for sure! — when I have out of town friends visit. Though it was so much fun, I would bring a group of my jaded New Yorker friends too.

We love NYC and Dante!! The food tour was great and the places Dante took us to were delicious!!! In a way, Dante saved our lives that day!! But that's a story for another time!! We we especially loved the artichoke pizza (this is where the story for another time comes in), and we loved the Belgium fries with all the different kinds of dipping sauce!! You will not be disappointed at all on this trip with Dante! In fact we signed up for another one with him for the lower Eastside next week!! See you soon Dante!!
