Arizona ATV Adventures
The West Sedona Canyon Tour area is about 8 miles west of Sedona. Make your own way to the departure point and from there, you will be taken to the trailhead in a 15-passenger van. The 3-hour tour begins when you arrive at the trailhead. This is the outback of the West Sedona Valley, where over 40 movies have been filmed over the years. There is over a hundred miles of trails to choose from, which provides your guide with the opportunity to customize each tour based on the age, interests and skill levels of the group. You’ll be awestruck by a view of the Verde Valley from the top of Skeleton Bone Mountain, over 800 feet above the valley floor. And don’t be surprised if some antelope run alongside you as you drive along the valley floor! For your safety and comfort, wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and bring your sunglasses. Also, bring your camera; the views are spectacular!

This tour was worth the length of time and miles you cover on the ATV. We had opportunities to take pictures at good spots, viewing the cliffs/canyons. I’d do it again if I were to return to the area. Our guide Taylor, was excellent, friendly and professional. We did have a mixture of riders that never rode an ATV, so you have to keep in mind that they will ride at their comfort level, which may be less assertive than yours if you’ve been on any type of ATV.

We had a wonderful time on this exciting nearly 4 hour ATV adventure. Donnie was our guide and he was terrific! My wife said it was a bucket list experience and not for the faint hearted. I thought it was a real “Rush”. The scenery was beautiful and our fellow travelers all had a great time. Some challenging four wheeling occurred but we all were up to it and had a thrilling time. There were patches where we cranked up our Polaris ATV’s near 55 mph. I recommend getting the single ATV rather than the double because passengers don’t seem to have as good experience as the drivers. I highly recommend.
