Arizona ATV Adventures
The West Sedona Canyon Tour area is about 8 miles west of Sedona. Make your own way to the departure point and from there, you will be taken to the trailhead in a 15-passenger van. The 3-hour tour begins when you arrive at the trailhead. This is the outback of the West Sedona Valley, where over 40 movies have been filmed over the years. There is over a hundred miles of trails to choose from, which provides your guide with the opportunity to customize each tour based on the age, interests and skill levels of the group. You’ll be awestruck by a view of the Verde Valley from the top of Skeleton Bone Mountain, over 800 feet above the valley floor. And don’t be surprised if some antelope run alongside you as you drive along the valley floor! For your safety and comfort, wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and bring your sunglasses. Also, bring your camera; the views are spectacular!

My husband and I did this tour Easter morning with our two daughters, ages 13 and 15. I had never driven an ATV before and was a little nervous. Tim, our guide was so nice and helpful, I ended up riding right behind him which really helped because I could follow his exact route. We stopped twice to take pictures and have snacks/drinks. The views are just gorgeous. Tim told us some little bits about the area and history. We ended up going to Jerome for lunch (which he suggested) and were so glad we did. Cute “Wild West” type town with great views and restaurants (The Mine Cafe was delicious). Would definitely recommend Arizona ATV and Tim!

Took our 14 and 10yo who had never been on an atv (wife hadn’t either). Tour guide was Aaron who did a wonderful job of mixing the difficulty for our group and setting up some nice shots. Wry scenic, atvs were more than capable and not bad for first timers! If you’ve ridden a lot u might find it a bit too easy. I’d suggest a private tour if u want to push it. We had a group of our family with 2 ATVs w/2 people on each. Another family had 3 atvs. They were quite hesitant and held us up a bit. If u r more adventurous stay in the BACK. Then u can play around a bit while keeping pace with the guide in front. No need to bring a camera (DSLR) as you’ll want to spend most of your time driving and resting in between stops. Plus u don’t want to take out your nice camera with the incredible amount of dust. U will be covered in red dust!
