Bike rent NYC provided my young family and I with a wonderful two hour bike riding experience in central park. Our guide, Ed, was extremely knowledgeable, courteous and thoughtful with all parties in our group of six. Ed was particularly cognizant of my two daughters 10 and 12 year olds and made sure that we rode safely at all times and kept them amused with with his constant jokes and quizzes Eds knowledge of the parks history, characters, and events are second to none and we left knowing we explored all facets of this wonderful park. Eds red track pants were easy to spot! I noticed some of the other reviewers, who are inexperienced riders, were talking about not being taught how to change gears or being given time to be practice riding; this is an important point. If you are a very inexperienced rider, do not sign up for a guided bike tour - get into biking in your own time, then join riders on guided tours who are comfortable on bikes - it is a great hobby.

Phillip was terrific! Highly recommend! Plenty of time to see the park and get off bike periodically for walking around.

Interesting history about the origins of the park and wasn’t difficult for anyone used to riding a bike. However some people aren’t and more information about that is required and a bit more time for those people to practise changing gears etc would be sensible ahead of the tour starting.
