I try to give the benefit of the doubt to local businesses, but they earned their low review. We purchased 4 tickets for my anniversary celebration in Dallas. They stopped at 3 chocolate places, and at each place we essentially got the cheapest, smallest dessert. It seemed like it was a free sample with the workers giving us a sales pitch to buy more rather than $40+ paid for tour. I felt like I was in a time share pitch: "Get a free trip to Disney World if you spend the entire time sitting in on a sales pitch."... Only i had to pay for the whole thing...? That already made for a disappointment but I probably wouldn't have taken the time to leave a negative review if it stopped there. XMas lights The initial two stops were pretty good so I had high hopes that we'd end on a good note. However, the time on the bus was awkward and ended up being about an hour longer than it should have been with long periods of silence from the tour guide. Ultimately, I didn't feel like I learned about Dallas or the areas we went, which seemed appropriate on a Dallas by Chocolate tour, but the clincher was that after the second lights stop we got lost for AN HOUR! People in the bus started asking when we would get back to our cars, and they still didn't take a hint. Anyway, bad experience. I'd suggest saving your money and visiting Deep Ellum or Uptown.

I had the pleasure of going on a Christmas lights and chocolate tour of Dallas and my resident tour guide & wine expert was the lovely Wanda! She was so engaging and accommodating such that the time flew by! I found myself wanting to start the tour over as it was coming to an end! She worked well with the driver, Shane and they worked as a team to make the night a good one! She knew wine and wine pairings like it was her second nature. She made delicious hot chocolate and knew her chocolate very well. Book your tour with Wanda and let her transform your evening into a magical holiday experience!

I gave 2 stars because the tour guide and bus driver were really good, but the Dallas by Chocolate Tour was very disappointing. We stopped a 5 places, but I would only classify 2 as chocolate shops. We got a scoop of raw cookie dough, then one piece of candy at a chocolate shop, one small sample (a truffle cut in half) at the next shop, then a macaron, and finally half of an ice cream sandwich. Definitely not worth the price and disappointing in what you received. This was more of a "let me drop you off at this place so you can buy things" type of tour, definitely not a food (chocolate) tour.
