A local favorite and arguably the best area for cycling day trips anywhere in wine country! Discover the beauty and tranquility of these fabled wine regions. Our award winning guides will take you to all our favorite places, prepare a tasty picnic spread, and take you into the vineyards for our “Grapes 101.” We travel 10 to 16 miles and visit 3 wineries on this tour of the Dry Creek Valley. Sticking to the quiet West Dry Creek Rd, this ride is easy and fun for any level of cyclist with small rolling hills and smooth roads. We meet for a bicycle fitting and safety overview at 10:00 am, the first winery stop at 11:00 am, second stop with lunch at 12:00 pm, and third stop at 2:00 pm, and return around 3:30 pm. You will love this Healdsburg bike tour!

My wife and I did the Healdsburg tour on Friday, October 2. Our tour guide Tommy was excellent. We biked around 15 miles . Tommy is well-versed in the area and full of knowledge. On some of the roads, when there was heavier traffic, he rode behind us and was always on the lookout. We went to three Wineries and they were all fantastic. This was our first time in Healdsburg and the bicycle tour gave us a good flavor of the dry Creek Valley. Two years ago we had gone on the Carneros wine and bike tour also through getaway adventures . Because of that positive experience we decided to do it again this year. And we would absolutely come back and do more of their tours in the future.

We spent a wonderful day with Angela biking the backroads of Sonoma. Despite the nearby forest futes and the hazy sky from the smoke... she made the day both entertaining and highly interesting! She took us to 3 small family wineries which produce excellent wines on a small scale (1000-2000 cases per year)... the winemakers were so eager to educate us on their wines and winemaking in general. Their passion was contagious! It was a wonderful day... highly recommend having both a guide like Angela and seeing the area by bike. Getaway adventures was top notch!

Rented bikes for the day and took a self guided bike tour of wineries. Beautiful, fun day, easy ride, Guys at the shop were very helpful and knowledgeable Easy for social distancing during Pandemic. Will go back again!
