Our group of 8 spent a wonderful afternoon with Randy and Shayna, cycling through Healdsburg and visiting several wineries. Randy shared his vast knowledge of the region, grapes, and vines. He and Shayna were quite friendly, helpful with places around the area to visit, and fun to hang with. All equipment was very nice, and the route wasnā€™t too difficult for those of us who used regular bikes. I would highly recommend this company for your cycle-n-sip adventure.

Enjoyed riding through the wine country on bikes to see the gorgeous scenery! All 3 wineries were lovely--all different! It was about $20-25 per person for each tasting at the wineries--my husband and I shared tastings to save money. And your tasting fee is waived if you buy 2 bottles of wine. Our guide was so helpful in picking up our bottles. There were a couple hills but we conquered those :) The lunch at the last winery was absolutely delicious--artisan bread and cheese, fresh lunch meats, fruit, green beans, salad and a pasta salad. It was perfect in the shade at one of the wineries. We didn't eat until almost 2 pm which was a little late for me but still lovely. We opted to ride back to our starting spot instead of taking the van ride--it was mostly uphill and we were tired at that point but we got some good exercise. :) Next time I would be done after the lunch. Our guide Tommy and Drew were great. Drew kept us with those at the back of the group, showing us how to shift gears and encouraging us (since we had not been on bikes in 15 yrs!). The weather was absolutely beautiful and scenery breathtaking. You would need to be somewhat athletic to do this ride as there as some hills :) Overall--a great day!

Pros: Beautiful Ride, great lunch menu (tour guide set up a nice lunch at a picnic table at one of the wineries. Deli Meats, cheeses, bread, pasta salads, fruit. It was really a nice spread.) Cons: Tour Guide Late, spent 80% of time talking about himself, sat with us at lunch. Would have rather had lunch with my friends so that we could enjoy and talk amongst ourselves. For $150, I would just rent bikes for $30 and ride to the wineries with our friends. Not worth the $150 price tag.

I am so sorry you had a less than satisfactory experience! I take every tour's success personally and have a keen interest in your views and feedback. Thank you very much for yours! Unfortunately, a guide being late does on occasion happen due to unforeseen incidents. It is our policy to call you ahead of time to update you with any issues. We are very sorry if this did not happen as communication is a vital piece of your experience. We encourage our guides to be themselves, let their personality and knowledge of the area come through. In this case, it seems a bit too much and we will discuss this with your guide. We do mostly eat lunch with our guests, but are sensitive to those that would rather be among themselves as on a private tour. Join in tours means we interact a lot more with guests, and most folks do enjoy that. Again, we are sorry that your guide did not clue into your desires. You can rent a bike, and we can supply you with those, but people love our guided tours because they don't have to worry about routes, what wineries can take them, avoiding mechanical issues, and having a van support nearby. We do a grapes 101--which is a popular intro to grapes and wines. We also have great relationships with several wineries, which means we can lead a behind the scenes look at wine making or special tastings of rare wines and older vintages. In any event, please contact us at [email protected] to receive a voucher for a free tour that I will personally lead so we can make this right for you! Again, we are very sorry for your experience and truly thank you for bringing these issues to our attention.
