Tom Lee Park

Pass by Tom Lee Park, named after Tom Lee, a worker who jumped into the river to save the lives of 32 passengers of a sinking steamboat in 1925. Along the way, you'll learn all about the history of the river and discover how Mississippi influenced commerce in Memphis and the surrounding areas. After this combo tour, you’ll be taken back to your hotel.

Great boat tour, the tour guide was AWESOME ! ! ! Very, very knowledgeable about Memphis and the history of the town. He was very humorous in presentation, great speaker, and just very pleasant to listen to, A ++++ for his presentation on the boat. The Riverboat was clean, staff friendly. Only real disappointment was the LONG line at the concession stand to buy popcorn and water. This was a Saturday afternoon tour and only two folks working at the stand, and they only served one customer at a time.

My family and I recently took the sightseeing day cruise which was relaxing and the guide was very informative. It would have be great to have traveled a little farther and have more choices of food. Having motion sickness medicine available would be appreciated.

The tour was good and very informative - I just wish the driver/guide made it clear to everyone that when we stop for 15 minutes everyone should be back in 15 minutes: I think he did not make it clear that if some people are late everyone is effected and suffer.
