My boyfriend and I have always wanted to go kayaking on the Murrells Inlet, and we believe we can do it. We couldn't do it because "Jack's Surf Lessons and Board Rentals" only offered the tour for groups of at least four people, and we were only two. It's unfortunate that we couldn't participate in this activity. I wish the website would not have enabled us to book a reservation if we did not meet the minimal requirement because we went above and beyond to stay an extra day specifically to perform this activity and were unable to do it. What I'm trying to say is that my partner and I stayed an extra day simply to have this experience, and Jack's Surf... canceled us. It wasn't a pleasant experience for us because we didn't get to explore the river in kayaks, and the worst part is that we did the impossible to stay one extra day in Myrtle Beach only to do this experience, and we couldn’t do it.

I had a great time! The hybrid paddle board/kayak is lightweight and much easier to maneuver than a standard kayak, which made it easier to enjoy the experience and still be able to paddle back to shore!

Our tour guide Jesse was great! The water was SO black! Never seen water like that before. We didn’t have kayaks but had paddle boards with a flip up seat backs - but they were very stable. Our butts got sore…but we sat on our life jackets and that offered some relief. The scenery on the lake was beautiful and so still and quiet - never had such quiet & peace before. My only complaint is the life jackets were less than desirable! They were old, dirty and had some mold on them - icky! Jesse was very kind and pointed out all the beauty 👍
