Guided Small Group Manatee Snorkeling Tour with In-Water Photographer

Overview
Enjoy a close, personal encounter with the West Indian Manatee as you snorkel with them under the guidance of a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain. Our small group (no more than six guests) tours are conducted daily in the beautiful Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge. Get up close and personal with these amazing mammals and learn about the ecosystem and their habitat.

Unlike many tours, these Captains will actually swim with you and your group to ensure that you have a memorable experience. While in the water, your captain/tour guide will take high-definition photos and videos of you and your group which you will be able to view and purchase at the end of your trip.

Your price includes all snorkeling equipment (mask, snorkel, wetsuit) and complimentary coffee or hot cocoa.

Due to a heat wave, most of the manatees had gone out to the Gulf to feed, but Captain Ron said he would do everything possible to find some for us to see. And he did it. He was honest and up-front with us about the fact that most of the manatees had moved out, at least temporarily, and gave us the option to cancel. We decided to go with it, and I'm glad we did. We didn't see herds of manatees, but we did see several and got face to face. Lauren (Captain Ron's assistant) was great. Lauren took my grand daughter by the hand and Chloe had an AMAZING experience. She could hear the manatees crunching the plants they were eating. One brushed her foot with it's nose. We then went to Three Sisters Springs, which is absolutely beautiful. Lauren took great photos and videos, which we were able to view at the end of the trip.

This was another amazing trip with captain who cares about the safety of everyone including the manatees while offering a fantastic adventure. Everyone was knowledgeable and funny which my kiddos love! We started our trip # 7 with captain Ron last year and now my children refuse to go with any other company here. If you want to learn and have a great experience this is a phenomenal company.

This was my second trip with Captain Ron. Myself and two other friends first booked a manatee adventure in May 2017. Even though it wasn't peak manatee season, Captain Ron took his time and find some manatees for us. We were able to find two in an area where no other boats were. Visibility wasn't ideal but the manatees were friendly and hung out for awhile. We decided we needed to book another trip with Captain Ron during peak season so we came back in February 2018. Unfortunately for us, the weather took a quick warm up right before we came and majority of the manatees had headed out to the ocean. Captain Ron informed us of this when we got on the boat, but still worked hard to find some. We ended in a bay with several other tour boats which wasn't ideal but still provided us with the ability to interact with the manatees. Lauren, our in water guide for the second trip, was great. She interacted with everyone, took group photos in the water, and made sure everyone got to see the manatees in the water. Seeing the other tour boats on the water, I much prefer the smaller setting of Captain Ron's. Captain Ron and his team are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to manatees and Crystal River. It's great to be able to interact with them one on one instead of being one of many on a boat.
