Enjoy a close, personal encounter with the West Indian Manatee as you snorkel with them under the guidance of a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain. Our small group (no more than six guests) tours are conducted daily in the beautiful Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge. Get up close and personal with these amazing mammals and learn about the ecosystem and their habitat.

Unlike many tours, these Captains will actually swim with you and your group to ensure that you have a memorable experience. While in the water, your captain/tour guide will take high-definition photos and videos of you and your group which you will be able to view and purchase at the end of your trip.

Your price includes all snorkeling equipment (mask, snorkel, wetsuit) and complimentary coffee or hot cocoa.

This was a truly amazing experience and Gulf Coast Expeditions really stood out to me and my family (wife and 3 children ages 10 - 14). They were very knowledgeable and passionate about manatees and provided everything we needed (wet suits, goggles, snorkel), even hot chocolate and coffee for the ride back. Captain Ron keeps the tour size to 6 people, so everyone gets personalized attention - unlike many other tour operators which have triple that many people. As an added bonus, we were the first of many tours to arrive and we had the area to ourselves for the first half hour which was very nice. It gave us a chance to get our bearings before dozens of other folks arrived. The boat ride was comfortable, even heading out at 6:30 AM with an air temp of 46 degrees - they have roll-up sides that kept most of the wind out. Once we were in the water the temp was fine as well. The only time I was cold was walking out to the car after we got back. I recommend this experience to everyone - it really was amazing!

We went on the manatee trip this past Saturday before New Years Eve and all though it was their busiest week of the year, and there were a lot of groups out there we still had a fantastic time! We saw and even got to touch several manatees! They are such unique creatures. I will definitely be doing this trip again in the near future it was that great!!

Captain Ron and Charlene were excellent. They gave us undivided attention and made our trip special. Captain Ron even kept my grandson after he got cold so the rest of our group could continue.
