What To Expect

The Gypsy Gold Farm

our first forty five minutes is an educational journey conducted by Dennis Thompson, the discoverer and founder of the Gypsy Vanner Horse breed. Dennis and Erin will then introduce you to a Gypsy Vanner stallion and explain the envisioned look and details unique to the Vanner breed. Your second hour is a walk among horse filled paddocks lined with ancient oaks laden with the romantic Spanish moss of the south. On your walk you will meet beautiful stallions and mares and friendly Gypsy Vanner Horse babies. Your Gypsy Gold Farm Tour ends with a picture opportunity with an incredible Gypsy Vanner Horse stallion and a visit to the Gypsy Gold gift shop.

Interacting with the horses was the best. The kids were allowed to take pictures on B'B'KING. The owners Dennis and Erin were full of knowledge and super friendly! I would recommend anyone of any age to this great Farm.

Thanks Lisa, BB King is the best, huh? His name means Birthday Boy and he is the first solid colored Vanner baby born in North America and he was born on my late wife birthday. We just got home from our trip to Gypsy Gold and we are still talking about our experience! Dennis and Erin were warm, welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we pulled up. Dennis's story telling ability added to the intrigue and excitement we had as he walked us through his story of how these beautiful horses came into his life. The tour of their farm and the opportunity to interact with these incredible animals was the icing on the cake. This experience is well worth the trip!!! I loved hearing what was basically a summary of Dennis's life story, his discovery of the breed, his hopes and plans for the farm in the future, and also many interesting facts along the way. The horses were very beautiful and friendly. Everything about this was an absolute delight and I can't wait to go back again.
