What To Expect

The Gypsy Gold Farm

our first forty five minutes is an educational journey conducted by Dennis Thompson, the discoverer and founder of the Gypsy Vanner Horse breed. Dennis and Erin will then introduce you to a Gypsy Vanner stallion and explain the envisioned look and details unique to the Vanner breed. Your second hour is a walk among horse filled paddocks lined with ancient oaks laden with the romantic Spanish moss of the south. On your walk you will meet beautiful stallions and mares and friendly Gypsy Vanner Horse babies. Your Gypsy Gold Farm Tour ends with a picture opportunity with an incredible Gypsy Vanner Horse stallion and a visit to the Gypsy Gold gift shop.

Very interesting tour. Horses are so docile and owner is full of interesting information and stories about the breed and his own life. Love the we could spend time with the horses and where allowed to interact with them. Highly recommend.

This was a fun and informative tour. The owner’s love of animals and respect for the gypsy culture is inspiring. We learned so much about the horse breed and the gypsies. The farm and the animals are beautiful. It was an experience and a story we will never forget. We bought a DVD so we can watch these magnificent animals running with feathers flying at home. Highly recommend.

I would recommend the Gypsy Vanner tour to anyone even if you are not a horse person. Dennis does a great job during his presentation explaining the history and culture of the Gypsy people in Great Britain. He explains how the Vanner breed came to be and how he brought it to America. His story about his passion for his late wife and animals is very touching. He talks about his vision and how the farm will look in the future. This made me think about what my legacy would be and how I could make a difference in the world. This was three hours well spent and will do this again when we return to central Florida.
