What To Expect

The Gypsy Gold Farm

our first forty five minutes is an educational journey conducted by Dennis Thompson, the discoverer and founder of the Gypsy Vanner Horse breed. Dennis and Erin will then introduce you to a Gypsy Vanner stallion and explain the envisioned look and details unique to the Vanner breed. Your second hour is a walk among horse filled paddocks lined with ancient oaks laden with the romantic Spanish moss of the south. On your walk you will meet beautiful stallions and mares and friendly Gypsy Vanner Horse babies. Your Gypsy Gold Farm Tour ends with a picture opportunity with an incredible Gypsy Vanner Horse stallion and a visit to the Gypsy Gold gift shop.

Dennis, the owner, is an incredible person and has a wealth of knowledge. The man is 71 and doesn’t look a day over 50. To hear the story of his life and the discovery of the Gypsy Vanner horse is truly awe inspiring. If you love horses, animals or just hearing great stories from great people then you MUST visit. You’ll leave wanting more. Thank you Dennis and staff for a great day!

We really enjoyed our tour of Gypsy Gold Farm. The presentation was very interesting and the farm was gorgeous! We enjoyed walking around and hearing the history of all the animals. We brought our teen daughter and small dog - everyone had a great time!

When we signed up for this tour, we had no idea that we would be hearing the story of the Gypsy Vanner horses straight from the man who named the breed and has kept this gorgeous breed alive. What a treat! We greatly enjoyed seeing these beautiful horses and having a tour of the farm. Incredible experience! Highly recommend everyone stop here for this chance of a lifetime tour.
