What To Expect

The Gypsy Gold Farm

our first forty five minutes is an educational journey conducted by Dennis Thompson, the discoverer and founder of the Gypsy Vanner Horse breed. Dennis and Erin will then introduce you to a Gypsy Vanner stallion and explain the envisioned look and details unique to the Vanner breed. Your second hour is a walk among horse filled paddocks lined with ancient oaks laden with the romantic Spanish moss of the south. On your walk you will meet beautiful stallions and mares and friendly Gypsy Vanner Horse babies. Your Gypsy Gold Farm Tour ends with a picture opportunity with an incredible Gypsy Vanner Horse stallion and a visit to the Gypsy Gold gift shop.

Great and personalized tour where you will see spectacular horses, some of them looks like unicorns, like a dream. My only comment would be that the introductory session with the storytelling was a litter long, nevertheless very interesting. I took my 7 years old nephew and he loved the interactive part, but the first storytelling session was too long for him. The messages are great as well as the history behind this breed, I would prefer if it was more consolidated and short, maybe 20 to 30 minutes maximum. I highly recommend this place, I hope they continue expanding and fulfill their vision. Thank you for a great tour!

Thanks a lot for your review 514yenir, I agree with all you say. It's tough to make it perfect for the 7 or 70 crowd. We give the little ones a Gypsy Vanner Horse image to color and then do our best to sit them on a famous Gypsy Vanner Horse for a keepsake photo. We will get it perfect, as we advance. These horses are like little kids. They are gentle and want you to pet them. And follow you for more attention. We stayed there for 4 hours. We were a group of 6. Beautiful day, beautiful Horses. We had free rein to go anywhere on the farm. Great family event.

This breed of horse is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. This is a great time for all ages. The host has vast knowledge of the lineage and introduction of this breed to the United States. I was so impressed and was so happy we found this farm! I plan to come back and bring my granddaughter! Thank you!!!
