Your second hour is a walk among horse filled paddocks lined with ancient oaks laden with the romantic Spanish moss of the south. On your walk you will meet beautiful stallions and mares and friendly Gypsy Vanner Horse babies. Your Gypsy Gold Farm Tour ends with a picture opportunity with an incredible Gypsy Vanner Horse stallion and a visit to the Gypsy Gold gift shop.

We found this horse farm tour through Trip Advisor, and now it's a regular part of our vacations to the Ocala area. These horses are exquisitely beautiful and very tame and social. They love attention and interact well with the tourists. The owner of the breeding farm is a wonderful story teller, and the first part of the tour is his story about discovering the breed in England, building friendships with the Gypsies who developed the breed, and bringing the breed to America. His story includes many details about the Gypsy culture in England and Europe. This is a tour that is best suited for children eight years old or older, not for younger kids as younger children could not sit still for the 30-40 minute story, and they would be too short to enjoy the horses easily. We brought our 14 and 11 year old granddaughters, and they loved the horses. Great place to visit.

Thanks search and visit. On November twenty fourth 1996, the first two Gypsy Vanner Horses stepped hooves on American soil. Today is November 24th so its been twenty four years today. As the years pass, it seems as you suggest a story from a dream. Thanks so much for visiting and for taking the time to write your nice review. Cushti Bok- Latcho Drom good luck - safe road Dennis
