What To Expect

The Gypsy Gold Farm

our first forty five minutes is an educational journey conducted by Dennis Thompson, the discoverer and founder of the Gypsy Vanner Horse breed. Dennis and Erin will then introduce you to a Gypsy Vanner stallion and explain the envisioned look and details unique to the Vanner breed. Your second hour is a walk among horse filled paddocks lined with ancient oaks laden with the romantic Spanish moss of the south. On your walk you will meet beautiful stallions and mares and friendly Gypsy Vanner Horse babies. Your Gypsy Gold Farm Tour ends with a picture opportunity with an incredible Gypsy Vanner Horse stallion and a visit to the Gypsy Gold gift shop.

My wife and I booked a tour on line for Wednesday, October 23. It was a perfect day and the experience was superb. We both love horses, unfortunately from somewhat afar, and to be able to get up close and personal with the Gypsy Vanners was a lifetime treat. Don't forget the donkeys and mules and the two "Gypsy Vanner" goats - both extremely funny and personable and black and white. Dennis Thompson is the perfect host. He gives an extremely funny and informative lecture, then takes the group to see the horses. If you love horses, Gypsy Gold has our highest recommendation.

Three ladies all with different ideas of fun found this tour to be well worth our time and very entertaining, fun and educational..Dennis did a fabulous job walking us through how these beautiful horses came to be in Ocala. Dennis has great plans for the future. Thanks so much for the tour. We all enjoyed it!

This is our sixth visit to the Gypsy gold Farm. Every time we have guests visit, we bring them to this informative tour. Each time we visit we learn a little bit more. Great people who have a passion for what they do, and well worth the visit for young and old alike. Next time we have company we will be back.
