Overall, great experience. Our guide Marlin provided a great history lesson as well as added appropriate humor. The ride down was thrilling yet not scary. Equipment was top notch. Honestly, only reason for the 4 vs. 5 rating is because of the overall experience at the sunrise-there were so many people. Thanks for everything!

Admittedly, I did not get to do this tour, but it is one that we did purchase. See, my back went out the worst I’ve ever had it fail on me the morning of the ride. In response, Bike Maui treated me like a person than a customer. Both are important, but ultimately we are each people with unique needs from time-to-time. On this occasion, the staff was more concerned with my health than losing my business. They offered to call an ambulance for me. Told my wife about all the nearby medical facilities, etc. Simply, they were very concerned about me and I hope to do the tour with them again in the future. In summary, I’m sure the biking experience is awesome. While I didn’t get to experience the tour if the ride is anything like the care they gave me as a person then its worth booking with them.

My son-in-law and I booked in at the last minute to the self-guided bike ride downhill from the border of the national park, just over 6,000 ft up. Bike Maui did exactly what they advertised. The equipment was in great condition and just right for the ride... including a wind/water proof jacket and backpack. Plenty of views on the way down and it was great fun sweeping around the downhill turns. Our driver on the way up made the trip entertaining with story telling and some history. I would NOT recommend for novice / inexperienced bicycle riders. Best to do in small groups of friends.
