This tour with Kimo was one of the best things we did in Maui. The bike down was just incredible, so beautiful and peaceful and relaxing. My whole family just loved it. Kimo, our tour guide, made the tour just that much more enjoyable because he was absolutely hilarious the whole entire trip. He was also super knowledgable about everything from plants to history. He was so entertaining and had me cracking up the entire trip. This trip totally exceeded my expectations.

We loved our time up the mountain with Kimo. He gave an excellent tour. We were all #winning. I had zero expectations for learning things going up the mountain, but Kimo provided all the information. It was a great time and a great ride. THEN: we biked down!! I LOVED it. The bikes are excellent. Brakes work great. I never felt like I was going too fast or taking a turn without proper preparation. It was so great to see the views, hear the birds, appreciate the serenity from a bike. Freaking loved it. My husband was a little more timid. It IS a lot of turns in the lane where cars go, so maybe not as comfortable for some. But I love bikes. And I love scenery. And I love Kimo. So this tour was the best!

GREAT Bike ride! It is an early day, arriving at the bike shop at 3am so highly recommend going first full day in Maui when your body is not adjusted to the time change yet. Eddy "buddy" was an EXCELLENT tour guide on our bus ride up to the crater. He is very funny with a few bad dad jokes! This company is all about safety. If you listen to their instructions, ride those hand brakes slow and steady you will have a great, safe ride. The bikes are very nice and easy to ride. provided a helmet, very nice rain jacket, backpacks. It is windy coming down the mountain and sometimes a little rainy. We shed the rain coat about 30-40 min into the ride and carried our layered clothing we took off in our backpack. Take water bottle with you. I was comfortable at the top with 2 pr leggings, 2 dry wick shirts and a fleece so their suggestion of a sweatshirt and sweatpants over shorts and short sleeve shirt is valid. It was about 35 degrees at top. Hat and gloves were nice while watching the sunrise. The scenery is so beautiful on the ride. I wish we would have stopped and took a few more pictures but we were a family of 6 so we focused on riding down safely together. Eddy took a really fun picture of our family at a few of the scenic places. Eddy made this trip even more fun and youll want to tip him at the end!!! Eddy buddy wuvs you.............
