This was so worth it!!! I’m super glad we went with the self-guided tour. My husband and I LOVED going as fast as we safely could down the mountain :) we really enjoyed our summit tour guide who took us up the mountain - the history was so interesting! Thanks Maui bike and haleakala eco-tours for an amazing time!

Highly recommend! Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and funny. The views were amazing, both at sunrise at the summit and on the bike ride down. Highly recommend bringing extra layers because it’s very cold at sunrise, and you can leave it on the bus. (They also have some gear you can borrow.)

Worth every penny!!! Booked this tour on our first day in Maui. This trip was amazing!! We met at Haiku and they took us up for sunrise on a tour bus. Billy was our tour guide and he was amazing. This guy was lively and educational. He explained all about the trip and gave us a cultural, geological and nature lesson while on the bus. He cracked alot of jokes which has us laughing most of the trip. We enjoyed sitting back and watching out the window, not dealing with entrance check points or which turns to take. When we arrived for sunrise. Billy was singing cultural sunrise song and wishing EVERYONE on top of the volcano a great day. He made us feel comfortable during the drive and even when we were biking down the volcano I felt safe knowing he was close by to make sure we all made to the end safely. He was always encouraging and positive. I am so happy we had a tour guide instead of driving ourselves. This was a no stress, all fun trip! The breathtaking sunrise on the volcano was also amazing! Mahalo Billy for your passion and care during our trip. This was so memorable! Shaka!!!
