The crew was great! The good part stops there. This excursion is waaay overpriced. Probably the worst snorkeling I've ever done in my life ( I've snorkeled over 100 times). The choice of snorkel location was a joke. WE SNORKELED ON A GRASS SEABED, No coral...no reef...no fish AT ALL. I knew we were in trouble when they dropped anchor. It's against the law to anchor near a coral reef. They could anchor because we were NOWHERE near a coral reef. This trip is way overpriced for what you get. If I could have gotten my money back I would have. I would look elsewhere. BUT... the crew was very nice and accommodating....especially Molly.

Dear Michael, Thank you for taking time to leave a review. We are extremely happy you enjoyed the crew. It is however sad to hear you were not pleased with the rest of the trip. We can definitely see how you would be disappointed going into the snorkeling with your perspective having had over a 100 experiences. Danger Charters does not primarily cater to coral environments sometimes. We take our guest to a spot that we know will be the calmest and hopefully best visibility to go. We do this because in the winter months it can get a little windy and where the parts of the coral reef are it can be choppy. Staying in calmer water helps to ensure that our guest want get seasick. We also do this because there is plenty to see in the hard bottom communities. It is a large nursery full of juvenile fish. We have seen moray ells, sting rays, turtles and the list goes on many times over the years. Overall most people love the whole experience of the trip. One of the things that most guest love if the conditions are not as suitable for snorkeling is the guided kayak tour. Where we take out a small group and enjoy the mangrove islands and many birds that inhabit it. We have also found that in comparison with other trips in Key West and the amount of guest they take out we are suitably priced. We realize it may seem higher to some in consideration to the cost where they are coming from. Key West is a wonderful place to visit but it can be an expensive place to operate a business and vacation for some people. We thank you again for your time and hope that you will enjoy your next snorkel experience. Operations Manager Haig Smith Danger Charters [email protected]

Wonderful time. Snorkeling was awesome. Saw sea urchins, fish, and dolphin. Kayak around bird island very scenic. Bird sanctuary 3-6 feet deep for miles. Like being in a postcard. Great service.
