Our family had a blast today rafting the Animas River. We are a family of four, with two boys ages 8 & 11. The river is so beautiful and the rafting is super fun but our guide made the trip. SAM IS AWESOME. He is so fun to ride with and his skills and expertise are incredible. We lucked into having him as our guide this trip but when we come back we will certainly request to have him.

First time rafting and will definitely do it again. Our travel guide Joe was the best guide you could ask for. Pit Vipers and patriotic he guided us through the waters with expertise . He was friendly and I recommend if you go, ask for Joe.

The office and equipment staff were very friendly and helpful. Our guide Emma was great as well. She was very friendly and provided a lot of informative interpretation of sights along the way. The Lower Animas trip was enjoyable. Very mild and good for an intro to rafting as it was mostly calm floating and light whitewater with just one class III section. I was hoping for a bit more excitement, but it was still enjoyable for the family. The only negative comment is that the trip seemed a bit shorter than was advertised. The website says it’s a 4.5 hour event and I believe we were back at base in about 3.5 hours.
