We went on a half-day lower Animas River tour in Durango. We made an impromptu visit to Durango in part to support the tourism that was being affected by the wildfires. On Monday, we booked the tour for 8am on Friday. On Tuesday, a rep called me to confirm. We were then in Mesa Verde for 2 days without any internet service. Apparently, on Wednesday night, they emailed me to move the tour time to 9am. There was no explanation as to why the time had changed or any option to cancel (we were within the the 48 hour window where you can't cancel). And I didn't notice this until Thursday night when I was scrolling through the 250 emails I had gotten since Tuesday. It would have been nice to have a phone call (or voice mail) to explain why the tour was changed from the time I booked.
The rafting tour itself was fantastic. Beth was really awesome. We were the only customers on the raft, and the staff took great care of us. We made a stop at a bathroom partway through, which was nice. My six-year-old had a fantastic time. She loved the rapids, and we all thought the entire trip was really nicely done. The bus was nice, the drive was short, the safety talk was appropriate, and the equipment was quality.
We did a similar rafting trip in Moab, and Mild to Wild was much more professional (despite the whole changing the rafting time) to deal with. We would hire them again.

Thanks for choosing Mild to Wild for both the Lower Animas River in Durango and the Colorado River in Moab. Fun you got to experience both a mountain river and a desert river. We are so sorry for the inconvenience of the hour time change on your trip in Durango. Glad you enjoyed Beth! She is a character. :)
