Did the lower Animas half day rafting with our 5 and 7 year olds. Starting point was easy to find, clean, and buzzing with friendly tour guides getting everyone ready. Wet suit was a must (river was ~50F) and we skipped the booties (and shouldn’t have!). Our tour guide Ashton was awesome, real friendly and we had a great float down the river. Our eldest was bummed that he couldn’t do the big drop (river was full from rain, they restricted it to +8yo), but they had a great time otherwise. Was our first rafting experience (done canoeing / kayaking before) and makes me want to do it more!

What an awesome experience! The Animas river is gorgeous, and rafting was peaceful with the occasional rapid area! Kids loved it, and our guide Andrew was AMAZING with all of us, especially our kiddos who have special needs.

Olivia was an AWESOME raft guide. It was our first river raft trip and she made sure we had a great time. She expertly guided the raft and us down the river. She had us river rookies ready for the class 3 rapids and we loved that part of the trip too. We purchased the photo package in advance and it was totally worth it. We’re looking forward to booking again with Mild to Wild.
