What To Expect

Wailua River State Park

Paddle the majestic Wailua River for 2 miles each way (4 miles total round trip), original home of the first Hawaiians, who paddled 1500 miles from the Marquesas Islands to Kaua`i almost 1500 years ago. Hear the legends and learn about the flora and fauna of Kauai`s most sacred area.

Secret Falls (Uluwehi Falls)

After hiking 1 1/4 miles through the rain forest our guides will take clients to Secret Falls also known as Uluwehi Falls. This beautiful waterfall cascades 110 feet into a refreshing swimming hole, where they can go for a dip and enjoy a terrific lunch! You will then hike 1 1/4 miles back to your kayak (2 1/2 miles of hiking round trip) Bring Closed Toed Shoes / Reef shoes / Teeva Style Sandals

Kayaking on the wailua river and splashing in the falls were amazing! Our guide, Zach, was wonderful! Definitely recommend!

The scenery amazing - incredible...I always wanted to swim under a waterfall and did just that! I would say you need very very sturdy walking shoes that can get wet. The hike is intense...definitely go on the earliest tour so it doesn’t get crowded at the falls...easy to fall behind on hike so make sure you always see your guide/group. Lunch was delicious - they gave is fresh cut pineapple which was a fun surprise - very helpful booking desk - super nice.

This was a memorable experience with beautiful, rough and lush jungle landscapes. Zach was very informative, helpful and a lot of fun. This tour was challenging at times for us (in our mid 70s) but we wouldn’t have wanted to miss it and we have a great sense of accomplishment for having done it. Be prepared to get wet (we had torrential showers), muddy and have a great time.
