This was our first visit and didn’t know what to expect. We did the sunset hike into the canyon to Cedar Ridge. Oh, we’re we glad we did! Not going into the canyon would be like going to the Great Barrier Reef and not sticking your head in the water. Suffice to say we would not have done this hike without a guide, and we could not have selected a better one than Jon. Our family is of mixed physical stamina (and levels of anxiety). Jon zeroed in quickly, and was encouraging and most importantly patient. To say he was patient is to understate it. We had an awe-inspiring stay below where we enjoyed wraps and time to relax and absorb the canyon’s grandeur. Jon’s knowledge seemed limitless and we learned so much to connect to what we were seeing. The sunset on the way up with vast color changes on the canyon walls was indescribable. All in all, this was the highlight of our visit.

Jon was a fantastic guide through the canyon. He set up an excellent unique sunset adventure along the South Kaibab trail, and provided superb hiking advice. We had dinner in the canyon, watched the sunset, and then hiked out with head lamps. Was an absolutely unforgettable trip. Highly recommend his service.
