Half day whitewater rafting adventure through the Royal Gorge. Approximately a 3-hour tour on a 10-mile stretch of class III/IV whitewater. The Royal Gorge is world renowned for the epic scenery of the 1200 foot walls that tower over you, while you raft below the world's highest suspension bridge. FREE use of all river gear!

What To Expect

Royal Gorge Zip Line Tours

Guests will arrive at our base location 1 hour prior to the departure time. They will be outfitted for their gear and then given an extensive pre-trip orientation. From there, we will transport the guests to our private beach put in. The raft trip will last approximately 2.5-3 hours. We will then transport our guests back to our base location where you can view a slideshow at our Bar & Grill of all the photos that were taken during the trip. Photos are available for purchase. We do send along a kayaker with every Royal Gorge trip who takes photos of the trip and also doubles as support.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Our guide Chris Bippley is outstanding. He always had us in the right spot. He kept us safe and made it fun. Insist on the wet suit even though the girls at the counter will try to talk you out of them for some reason. Get the foot boots also. Sign the forms online before hand.

Super thrilling experience! You have to try whitewater rafting with this business. They have great guides who do a fantastic job at keeping the customers safe. I’ve only tried the half day course, but I can say that it was definitely packed with so much fun! You will absolutely get soaked, and I’d recommend bringing your own clothing if possible. They will provide wetsuits, jackets, and wet shoes for you to use, but unless you’re okay with putting them on while they’re still dripping wet, I’d advise against it. They also provide helmets and life vests, these are required and probably wouldn’t let you bring your own of those for liability reasons, but I didn’t see an issue with these pieces anyway. You will get suited up at the main facility, then take a bus to the drop off point at the Arkansas river. Beware of the wall slammer, it took us for a rough ride but still so much fun. The water will vary, but it was pretty calm in beginning, then got quite bumpy several minutes in. Keep you’re feet locked into the raft and you’ll be fine. Don’t fall out, but if you do you get to sign the bus. At the end of the rafting, you’ll get picked up by another bus and taken back to the main facility. Dress appropriately too, it will get colder as you’re on the water. If the sun is out, it would be fine though. Loved this experience though! If I was a local I’d do this every weekend. A must try if you’re visiting and this business really takes care of you. Highly recommend!
