Half day whitewater rafting adventure through the Royal Gorge. Approximately a 3-hour tour on a 10-mile stretch of class III/IV whitewater. The Royal Gorge is world renowned for the epic scenery of the 1200 foot walls that tower over you, while you raft below the world's highest suspension bridge. FREE use of all river gear!

What To Expect

Royal Gorge Zip Line Tours

Guests will arrive at our base location 1 hour prior to the departure time. They will be outfitted for their gear and then given an extensive pre-trip orientation. From there, we will transport the guests to our private beach put in. The raft trip will last approximately 2.5-3 hours. We will then transport our guests back to our base location where you can view a slideshow at our Bar & Grill of all the photos that were taken during the trip. Photos are available for purchase. We do send along a kayaker with every Royal Gorge trip who takes photos of the trip and also doubles as support.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

My family and I went on the half day rafting trip on Sunday, Father’s Day. The whole operation from check in, to wet suit and gear assignment, to training, to riding in the bus was very upbeat and professional. The main guide, Kelly, was fun and articulate about talking about safety measures and what to expect on the river. She made us appreciate the need to be careful and follow directions without being a downer or filling us with worry. Our guide on our raft was Reed who was super fun and clearly knew what he was doing. He told us exactly how to paddle and led us through the rapids. My son fell off in the Maytag rapid and Reed and the kayaker helped him back into our raft within thirty seconds. It was poetry in motion. The atmosphere in our raft was upbeat and fun. Two kayakers stayed with us the whole time to help anyone who fell in and take photos. Great, fun first rafting trip that we will always remember!

As part of our honeymoon my husband and I booked for the half day experience. Upon arrival to the check in we were greeted by staff and immediately fitted for river equipment to keep us warm in the cold waters. This was a rafting experience that will never be forgotten. The staff was very knowledgeable on safety and ensured every rider had the information necessary should someone be ejected from the raft. Our guide John took us down the river with experience only someone who knows every inch of the river could possibly know. He helped lead us through the rapids (class 3-5) and even as beginners we felt safe the entire way. Even when my husband was pulled out of the raft by strong waters. He explained what to do should something happen and my husband was able to safely reenter the raft.

We went on the Royal Gorge rafting trip today. The royal gorge was closed, but we did Bighorn Rapids instead. Our guide, Cheers, was amazing. I was fearful of falling out of the raft and tipping over. He calmed our fears. Not only did I feel completely safe with him as our guide, but all of the guides we had on our trip and the safety kayakers worked together and made sure all passengers and employees were safe. I would definitely use this company again! Safe and super FUN!!
