Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview

Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

Amazing experience. I strongly recommend taking the tour if you like snorkeling you’ll have a real experience in the middle of the coral reef.

Capt John and Brandon were fun and informative. They provided sunscreen, water and snorkeling gear- in excellent condition! First time my goggles didn’t fog up. (Baby shampoo and water- who knew?? ) Christ of the Abyss is impressive. Beautiful underwater scenery. Would take the trip again with Pirates Cove. You never know what you might see!

Had an absolute blast for my son's first time snorkeling. My husband and I are avid divers so we were looking for a great first experience for our 9 year old son! Captain Katie and crew were lovely. About 8 other snorkelers onboard. Tropical storm Nicole had just passed through the day before so we were a little concerned about visibility. Capt. Katie took us to a great spot to start and even though the water was pretty choppy, still had a great time seeing loads of fish! We were the last to exit the water! Second stop to see Christ of the Deep (a bit overrated in my opinion) but got to see a sea turtle, spiny lobster and too many barracuda! :) The crew made us feel comfortable and safe and even though we were the only group on board to even enter the water at the second stop, we were able to take our time and really enjoy the experience! Top notch from beginning to end! Loved our time in/on the water with this crew! Thanks for making my son's first time a blast!
