Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview

Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

I nervously called inquiring about booking a snorkle trip... The lady sounded so friendly on the phone that I couldn't help myself booking for my husband and I. We were both a little anxious upon arrival, but the staff was so chill, friendly, and helpful that we couldn't contain our excitement. The snorkle trip was amazing w Capt John and first Mate Chrissy! We are floridians; often exposed to numerous tourist burned-out attitudes, but NOT Pirates Cove WaterSports!!! They were genuinely friendly and helpful! Can't wait to book with them again! MAY they remain friendly, eager, and helpful. Thank you!

The crew was terrific, very safety cautious and fun! Highly recommend this snorkeling trip. The boat ride was great and we saw lots of fish snorkeling including a stingray. FYI you can bring your own drinks and snacks on board. There is a passenger ice chest you can use.

Such a geat experience with Captain John and Krissy. We got to see the Jesus statue, dolphins, sharks, and so many colorful fish. This was my first time sea snorkeling and I felt so safe and informed. I loved this!!
