Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview
Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

Krissy, the first mate was amazing as were the rest of the crew. one of our family members became distressed at the second stop and she literally 'saved his life', as the family member described it. Maybe it was a bit choppy to be out and hard to swim against the current as a snorkeler but everyone else seemed to do okay. the scuba divers had a great experience as far as we could tell, incl seeing a sea turtle. the first stop was totally amazing. even the coral seems to be coming back.

Thanks for the review Rebeca! Our crew is very experienced, professionally trained and aims to go above and beyond in all that they do! We are lucky to have such a dedicated team here at Pirates Cove!

Thanks for the 5 stars Jill! The crew loves sharing our home reefs with our guests and sounds like it was full of wildlife for your family to enjoy! We look forward to seeing you again!

Absolutely terrible experience. We drove 4 hours to attend this snorkeling trip, and when we arrived they said they had canceled the tour. They didnā€™t inform us, or make any attempt to contact us. They should have had the decency to call or email every customer if they made the decision to cancel. They offered an extremely insincere and shallow apology and insisted that I hadnā€™t been charged for the trip (as if theyā€™re going to charge people for a trip they didnā€™t conduct). I even confirmed that they had both my phone number and my email address so there was really no excuse from their side. Overall incredibly unprofessionally run place. AVOID them!!
