Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview

Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

Go for it! So happy we did. Awesome snorkeling, with memorable views like Christ of the Abyss, rays, jellies, corals. Helpful and well trained team, good quality equipment. Safe and exciting for the whole family!

While vacationing in Key Largo our family booked a half day snorkel trip with Pirates Cove Watersports. The two that helped us were Cutler and Katie. The staff was super friendly and laid back! They were very informative and helpful and don’t even flinch when someone gets sea sick lol. They kept checking on all passengers making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. They provide all the gear you need to snorkel and take you to some great locations . It was a great trip even though most of my family got sea sick lol! Make sure you purchase some meclizine from their shop before you get on the boat

We had an amazing day with the crew of the Sea Star, John, Mike and Katy. They were knowledgeable, fun and accommodating. They added “funshine” to the sunshine. Best part of the day? We saw DOLPHINS! And the Jesus statue was spectacular. You won’t regret this outing. Thank you for our amazing experience!
