Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview

Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

Friendly and funny staff great for experienced or beginners. Made the whole family feel safe nice boat ride too. I recommend renting the underwater camera! I have a cousin named ray… 😅

The captain and first mate were great! Easy to understand, thoughtful and considerate of all passengers. We knew exactly what to do and what not to do. The first mate went around to each passenger and spoke directly to them to see who had not been snorkeling in the past. He then gave them specific details on additional directions for first-timers. Very personal and personable! The only issue I had with the trip is we did not get to visit Christ of the Abyss statue, which is always a favorite of ours, and our companions had never witnessed it. This is not the fault of the captain, as he did try and access the statue, but there was nowhere to anchor due to other boats already there. This was a fun, interesting trip nonetheless!

We saw tons of beautiful fish at the first stop and a sea of beautiful purple coral at the second stop.
