Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview

Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

The crew was nice but the Elbow reef we went to just had a shipwreck and no fish...the second stop was nice. The first mate Jose was great. Jose gave us a lot of good information about the different fish we’d see and great happy hour places

Captain Katie, and Mate Jose were helpful, responsive, funny, knowledgeable, and experienced. They made the trip a fun and memorable experience. Someone actually answered the phone - twice, was helpful and good natured. What could be improved is to add an FAQ to the website, and to warn people that additional time is frequently needed to get there because of the one-lane roads, especially on weekends (we almost missed our boat although they told us that we could reschedule or get a refund, if we didn't make it in time). We had a great time and saw a turtle, barracudas, a small shark, clown, snapper and parrot fish, and got to swim in the midst of hundreds of fish.

Great trip, crew were awesome. Both snorkel sites were good. Seas were 2-3ft good visibility. Saw eagle rays, barracuda, conchs, blue tangs. parrot fish and more, Captain was very knowledgeable and mate was very helpful Would highly recommend.
