Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview

Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

We had a sensational experience this Sunday. We were on board the sea star, captain Peter and Adrian, they were formidable, they created a fun atmosphere and always taking into account all security procedures and precautions for covid19. The weather and the Ocean were perfect! It was a very cool activity to do to get out of the daily routine! I will absolutely recommend their services at all times!

Captain John and Mike Cutler, the A-Team, led us on a fabulous snorkel trip. We stopped at Horseshoe Reef and North North Dry Rocks. A HUGE variety of coral and sea life, including an impressively large spotted eagle ray. And there were SO many fish! Excellent instruction, guidance, and local information. Our family of 3 had an amazing time and it is definitely going to be the highlight of our vacation. I highly recommend you hire Pirate Cove Watersports for your snorkel or dive adventure!

Fun guides, 2 stops, perfect amount of time on the sun. Running late the original date of booking and they accommodated the next day, no problem or charge. Free parking too. Fish were colorful and we saw a shark! Ask to hear the pirate jokes...
