Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview

Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

Second time for me and my family snorkelling with Pirates Cove Watersports, This time with my friend and her son. Lovely day out snorkelling! The captain and and instructor were super clear in their communication and also very kind and funny. We had the best time. Would do it again in a minute. If you are easily seasick you might want to consider bringing/taking a motion sickness tablet. Also another tip, travelling with teens or hungry adults, bring snacks (chips or bars) as there is no food but plenty of water.

They had texted us the day before with details and the morning of the adventure I texted them to make sure the boat trip was still on. The skies were gray. No response. We get ready, trek down there and it was cancelled

We regret that the weather did not cooperate on the day you were reserved to go out with us. Unfortunately we do not always know the conditions far in advance. The weather does change unexpectly at times. We do try to communicate when we can with customers in advance. We are sorry it did not work out for you.
