Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview

Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

Snorkeling on the reef was really cool. The reefs are pretty far out into the water. It was windy so the waves were rocking the boat pretty well and several of us got motion sick. We should have been more prepared. Operators were great. My 21 year old who doesn't get motion sick had an absolute blast.

Dana was so caring. I saw her help a lady that had immediate ear pain, help a woman put on fin who didn’t want to look down because sea sickness, and more. Brad gave the best recommendations for food. They took us to beautiful spots and were attentive. Only advice is they could have been interactive and hype along the ride. They were at beginning and end but maybe more throughout.

We had a great time! Chris and Chrissy were truly awesome! We went to two snorkel sites and both C & C spent time explaining the sites (what you will see, how to handle the currents and how to handle sea sickness). C & C we’re really good at helping everyone back on the boat after being on a site, grab your fins for you & help if needed getting up the stairs. The SeaStar was a great boat! We had 32 people on board, only 2 were divers so C&C so that was 30 snorkeling!!!! C & C we’re patient, funny and a pleasure to go out on this trip with! I’d highly recommend…..
